Stitched in Time:
The Flowers of the Palazzo Chigi
Drawing inspiration from the diverse floral motifs found within the Palazzo Chigi, this piece was cross-stitched over several months, with an estimated 200 hours dedicated to its completion. The finished cross-stitch was then digitally transformed and presented in layers through augmented reality. Each of the 10 layers represents 20 hours of stitching, highlighting the often-invisible labor associated with gendered crafts like cross-stitching.
