Tactile Fresco Models

Using files from the restored frescoes, 3D models were iteratively created (see here) and subsequently 3D printed, resulting in tactile objects that enable engagement with the artwork for all, including individuals with vision impairments. Transforming 2D artworks like these frescoes into 3D models allows viewers to discover details they might otherwise miss, and engage with the works kinetically.
